Performance
Performance is one of the most important things for us at Railo Technologies. To achieve best results, detailed measurement of execution times is indispensable.
Performance of Railo 3.0 Compared to the previous version Railo 3.0 has been improved in several areas. Especially the compile process could be improved by factor 6 to 8. In average Railo 1.0 compiled a file in about 200ms whereas Railo 3.0 manages this task in 30ms. The handling of keys in variables has been highly improved from version 2.0 to version 3.0.
The statements we give with our measurements are really subjective and can therefore not be counted as generally acknowledged.
In average we were able to improve the performance of Railo 3.0 in comparison to version 2.0 by about another 30%. Not all areas are equally affected by this value. For example in Railo 3.0 variable access is about 3 times faster than before.
Many people asked us to compare the performance of Railo with several other engines. Statements regarding such a comparison almost always result in unwanted conflicts.
Each vendor claims to have the fastest CFML engine. You should find out for yourself how Railo 3.0 performs. Just enjoy the astonishing fast execution time.
